This policy applies to all head torch purchases made directly through thorzy.com. Your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 are fully protected and are not affected by this policy.

Our 30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return. This exceeds the minimum 14-day statutory cooling-off period required under UK consumer law, because we believe you should have adequate time to properly test your head torch in real conditions.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Returned within 30 days of the confirmed delivery date
  • In its original condition — unused or minimally used for genuine testing purposes
  • Returned with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation included
  • Free from damage caused by misuse, accidents, or modifications

When Returns Are Not Accepted

We reserve the right to decline a return or reduce the refund amount in the following circumstances:

  • The 30-day return window has passed and the product has no manufacturing defect
  • The product has been physically damaged through dropping, crushing, or improper use
  • Water damage caused by use beyond the product’s stated IP rating
  • Missing original packaging, accessories, or components
  • Signs of unauthorised modification or repair attempts
  • Normal wear and tear from extended use

How to Return Your Head Torch — Step by Step

  1. Contact us first. Email support@thorzy.com with your order number, the reason for your return, and photos of the item if it is faulty or damaged. Do not send anything back without hearing from us first.
  2. Receive your return authorisation. Our team will review your request within 1–2 business days and send you a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number along with return instructions.
  3. Pack your item securely. Place the head torch and all accessories in the original packaging where possible. Write your RMA number clearly on the outside of the parcel.
  4. Send it back. Use the return address and carrier instructions provided by our team. We recommend using a tracked service — we cannot be responsible for parcels lost in transit to us.
  5. We inspect and process. Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund or dispatch your replacement within 5 business days.

Return Shipping Costs

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your head torch arrives faulty, is damaged in transit, or is not the item you ordered, Thorzy will cover the full cost of return shipping. We will provide a prepaid returns label or reimburse reasonable tracked postage costs upon receipt of your return.

Change of Mind Returns

If you are returning your head torch simply because you have changed your mind or it is not quite what you expected, the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend using a tracked, insured service, as we cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged on their way back to us.

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5 business days and credited to your original payment method.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout
  • Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a further 3–10 business days for the funds to appear in your account
  • Original shipping charges (if any were applied) are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns
  • If your return is only partially approved, a partial refund may be issued
Refund not arrived after 10 business days? Please first check with your bank, as processing times vary. If you still have not received your refund after 10 business days from our confirmation email, contact us at support@thorzy.com and we will investigate immediately.

Exchanges & Replacements

If you would prefer a replacement rather than a refund — for example, if your head torch develops a fault or you received the wrong model — we are happy to send out a replacement at no extra cost, subject to stock availability.

To request an exchange, follow the same process as a standard return and let us know in your initial email that you would like a replacement. We will confirm availability and dispatch your new item as soon as we receive the original.

12-Month Warranty

Every Thorzy head torch comes with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from the date of delivery. This covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects affecting performance or functionality
  • LED or circuit failures under normal operating conditions
  • Defective switches, straps, or buckles due to manufacturing fault
  • Battery compartment defects (excluding battery degradation over time)

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Damage caused by accidents, drops, or impact
  • Water damage beyond the product’s stated IP rating
  • Normal wear and tear, including gradual battery capacity reduction
  • Damage from use of non-recommended batteries or chargers
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance
  • Products that have been modified or repaired by an unauthorised party

Your UK Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to:

  • 30 days to reject a faulty product and receive a full refund (short-term right to reject)
  • A repair or replacement if a fault appears within 6 months of purchase
  • A repair, replacement, or partial refund if a fault appears between 6 months and 6 years of purchase, where you can demonstrate the fault was present at the time of sale
